COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course describes the use of Sports massage.
The purpose of this modality is to benefit the therapist’s ability to provide specialized techniques in the athletic community. The technique involves application of touch, effleurage, friction, vibration, percussion, pétrissage, stretching, compression, and/or passive and active joint movements within the normal physiological range of motion. This course addresses client posture and alignment assessments, athlete recovery, remedial, and rehabilitative needs.
